Coursera pricing in 2026: what it actually costs to learn AI

Coursera’s payment options depend on the programme, region and account. Check the actual checkout rather than treating an old per-course estimate as a universal fee.

Preview access is different from full access

Coursera replaced its general audit model with first-module previews in August 2025. A free preview does not establish access to the full assessed course or certificate.

Monthly and annual Plus reference prices

The official Plus page lists US$59 per month and US$399 per year. Course inclusion, regional pricing, promotions and checkout terms need checking before purchase.

Compare your actual study plan

Six monthly payments at US$59 total US$354; seven total US$413. Annual billing is cheaper than seven monthly payments at these reference prices. This calculation does not mean that Plus pays for itself after two individual course purchases.

Choose the courses first, confirm whether they are included, then compare the available purchase and billing options. Include time you realistically need for assignments.

• Read the currency, total charge and renewal amount.
• Check trial, refund and cancellation terms.
